Crash - Stolen vehicle in Alice Springs

Northern Territory Police are investigating after a stolen vehicle was involved in a crash in Alice Springs yesterday.

Early yesterday morning, an orange Ford Ranger was stolen from a Gillen residence.

Around 11am yesterday, the vehicle allegedly collided with a stationary Holden Commodore in Ilparpa.

The two occupants of the Commodore were taken to Alice Springs Hospital. A 30-year-old-female driver suffered minor injuries and a 1-year-old female passenger was conveyed for assessment.

The stolen vehicle fled the area and was later recovered abandoned by police south of The Gap.

Detectives are investigating the incident and are urging anyone with information, particularly if you have dash-cam footage, to make contact on 131 444. Please quote reference 23328197.
