Atender to design and construct a Playground Precinct and landscaping at MyillyPoint has been released.
Theseworks will acknowledge the history and cultural significance of this site tothe Stolen Generation of the Kahlin Compound.
Thisproject at Myilly Point will benefit the community by creating cool activespaces for all to enjoy and will include:
AYouth Zone which will provide:
- A basketball halfcourt;
- Skate area;
- Tropical landscaping;and
- Services
AnAdventure Play Zone including:
- Options for shaded playequipment;
- Active climbing areas;
- Balance beams; and
- Seating
AdditionallyMyilly Point will have a:
- Shaded central picnicarea, with barbeques and amenities;
- One kilometre loopedwalking and running track; and
- One mile (1.6 kilometres)walking and running track
Thisproject will enable broader development of the site at a later time should thisbe required.
Worksare set to begin September 2019 and are anticipated for completion in February2020.
