Cricket Victoria welcomes NetCaptain as community cricket partner

Cricket Victoria is pleased to welcome Melbourne-built NetCaptain as its Cricket Training and Net Session Scheduling Partner, with a shared focus on supporting the people who make community cricket possible.

The partnership will introduce more clubs to a practical platform for planning training, managing player availability and making better use of limited net time across junior and senior cricket.

Designed to ease the workload on volunteer coaches and club administrators, NetCaptain helps clubs organise sessions around their available nets, squads and player roles. Players can confirm their availability through the app, with net rotations adjusting as availability changes.

Together, Cricket Victoria and NetCaptain aim to help clubs spend less time managing schedules and late changes, and more time delivering organised, enjoyable training sessions.

Cricket Victoria's Coach Development Specialist, Chris Harris, said:

"NetCaptain is a great platform for community cricket because it addresses a challenge so many clubs face – making the most of training time while managing the demands on volunteers.

"By simplifying session planning and adapting to changes in player availability, it can help coaches spend more time coaching and give players a fair share of time in the nets.

"It's great to have a Melbourne-built platform on board that understands the needs of local clubs. We look forward to working together to support coaches, volunteers and players across Victoria."
