Cricket Victoria renews partnership with Staying Alive Health to help clubs become heart safe

Cricket Victoria is pleased to announce the renewal of its partnership with Staying Alive Health, continuing a shared commitment to creating safer environments across Victorian cricket clubs and their local communities.

As part of the renewed partnership, Cricket Victoria affiliated clubs can apply for a fully funded Community Heart Safe Grant valued at more than $15,000.

Successful clubs will receive a comprehensive package of life-saving equipment, training and ongoing support, including:

  • A Rotaid fully monitored and publicly accessible AED package
  • Accredited first aid training
  • Ongoing support to help clubs maintain a heart-safe environment

The initiative is designed to provide clubs with the equipment and knowledge required to respond to a cardiac emergency, helping protect players, coaches, volunteers, supporters and members of the wider community.

By making AEDs publicly accessible and supporting clubs with accredited training, the Community Heart Safe Grant can help ensure life-saving assistance is available when it is needed most – both during cricket activities and outside regular club hours.

With a limited number of grant allocations available, eligible Cricket Victoria affiliated clubs are encouraged to register their interest and submit an application before 30 September.
