Criminal damage by fire - Berrybank

Police are appealing for public assistance after a cement truck was destroyed by fire in Berrybank earlier this year.

Investigators have been told a cement truck was parked on the side of the Hamilton Highway about on Tuesday 24 March with a broken fan belt.

Police believe the truck was broken into about 1am the next day and driven a short distance along the highway before again being parked.

Graffiti was then painted on the agitator before the cabin was set on fire.

The damage to the truck and agitator is in excess of $180,000.

Investigators have released images of the truck and graffiti in the hope that someone may be able to provide further information.
