Critical incident investigation into man's death in Bomaderry

A critical incident investigation has been launched following the death of a man in Bomaderry, NSW Police say.

Officers from South Coast Police District were called to Katela Avenue, Bomaderry, shortly after midnight (Sunday 6 May 2018), responding to reports a man had been found unconscious in the backyard of a home.

Police rendered first aid until paramedics took the 23-year-old man to Shoalhaven Hospital, where he later died.

Officers had earlier attempted to speak with the man about a matter at a home on Samuel Street.

A critical incident team has been formed to investigate the circumstances surrounding the matter.

That investigation will be subject to independent review.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
