Critical incident investigation launched, NSW

A critical incident investigation has been launched following an incident on Sydney’s Eastern Beaches this evening.

About 6.20pm today, officers attached to Eastern Beaches Local Area Command were called to Arden Street, Coogee, following reports of a brawl.

On arrival, a man, believed to be aged in his 20s, was sitting on a balcony when he fell onto an awning, before falling onto the footpath below, NSW Police say.

He was treated at the scene by Ambulance Paramedics, before being taken to St Vincent’s Hospital in a serious condition.

A Critical Incident Team from Central Metropolitan Region will now investigate all the circumstances surrounding the incident.

No further details are available at this time; however, police are appealing for witnesses to come forward. Anyone who can assist police should contact Crime Stopers.
