Cyclist dies after crash at Nowra

A man has died following a crash on the state's South Coast this morning.

Officers attached to South Coast Police District were called to the Princes Highway near Kalandar Street, Nowra, just after 5.30am (Friday 21 July 2023), following reports a cyclist had been hit by a car.

The cyclist was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics; however, he died at the scene.

The driver of the other vehicle, a 51-year-old man was taken to Shoalhaven Hospital for mandatory testing.

A crime scene was established, and officers will investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
