Cyclist seriously injured after single vehicle collision at Yamba

A cyclist is in a critical but stable condition after a crash at Yamba at the weekend.

About 12.30pm yesterday (Sunday 14 April 2019), a 64-year-old male cyclist was riding between Roberts Close and Lady Nelson Drive, when his bike and a Mitsubishi Triton ute collided.

The cyclist was airlifted to Gold Coast University Hospital where he is being assessed for multiple injuries. He is reported to be in a critical but stable condition.

The driver of the ute, a 27-year-old man, was uninjured and was taken for mandatory tests.

Police are appealing for any witnesses, or anyone with dashcam vision, to come forward.
