Damage in the Hobart CBD – Identity Required, TAS

Can you help identify a man that police would like to speak to this morning, Tasmania Police say?

The man has allegedly caused substantial damage to a number of businesses (5 reports at this stage) in the Hobart CBD along Elizabeth Street between the Mall and Patrick Street.

Between 7.50am and 9.30am this morning it is believed the man has smashed a number of windows, by various means, causing in excess of $12,000 damage.

Police have responded and conducted an immediate search of the area without success.

The man police would like to speak to was depicted on CCTV footage and is described as being  between 25-35 years, average in height, with facial hair, wearing dark clothing and carrying multiple heavy back packs and a sleeping swag.
