Police have charged a 25-year-old man with multiple offences after uncovering dangerous drugs from a vehicle intercepted at Calliope overnight, June 19.
At approximately 10.15pm, officers from the Gladstone Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) intercepted a white Toyota Hilux travelling along the Dawson Highway.
It will be alleged the vehicle was travelling from Sydney towards Mackay.
A search of the vehicle uncovered approximately five kilograms of amphetamine, two ounces of cocaine, and a quantity of electronic devices.
A 25-year-old New South Wales man was taken into custody and has been charged with two counts of possessing dangerous drugs (amphetamine and cocaine), and one count each of possessing anything used in the commission of a crime, and contravening an order about information necessary to access information stored electronically.
He is due to appear before Gladstone Magistrates Court today, June 20.
