Police have charged a man following an incident where a vehicle allegedly evaded police and was driven dangerously in Raceview overnight, Queensland Police say.
At around 11:30pm officers observed a car travelling on Raceview Street which had allegedly been involved in an evade police incident on the Gold Coast on September 23.
When officers attempted to intercept the vehicle on Edwards Street police will allege the driver refused to stop, evading police again.
Police tracked the vehicle with the assistance of Polair and when police again attempted to intercept the vehicle between Rodney Street and Trumpy Street in Silkstone it will be alleged the car mounted a curb, colliding with a street sign and a police vehicle.
The car was tracked to Derek Glode Place in Raceview where the driver allegedly refused to leave the vehicle before being taken into custody.
A 30-year-old man from Merrylands in New South Wales has been charged with five counts of failing to stop, two counts of failing to provide a specimen of breath, and one count each of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, contravening a direction, obstruct police, drive unregistered vehicle, drive uninsured vehicle and driving without a license.
He is due to appear in Ipswich Magistrates Court on October 14.
