Daytime drink-driver caught at Glenelg South, SA

Police have reported a man after he recorded an extremely high drink-driving test result at Glenelg South today, according to SA Police.

Just before 11am on 5 May, a traffic patrol went to a crash on Brighton Road, where a Suzuki sedan had collided with a trailer towed by another car. No one was injured as a result of the crash.

The driver of the Suzuki sedan underwent a breath test, and recorded a positive reading of 0.287. The other driver did not record a positive test result.

The 48-year-old Hayborough man was reported for exceeding the prescribed concentration of alcohol and aggravated driving without due care.

He was issued a 12-month immediate loss of licence notice, and he will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
