Death in custody – Townsville
Queensland Corrective Services can confirm the death of a 44-year-old woman at Townsville Women’s Correctional Centre yesterday evening.
QCS is assisting local police who are investigating the circumstances of her death with the Corrective Services Investigations Unit.
The State Coroner has been informed of the matter.
