Death investigation at Mount Isa

Detectives have commenced an investigation into the death of a man at Mount Isa on Monday, January 6.

Thirty-five-year-old Aaron Nelson attended a gathering on Stanley Street just before midnight when he laid down to rest and later died.

Initial investigations suggested his death was non-suspicious, however further investigations reveal suspicious circumstances leading up to his death.

Police have set up an Investigation Centre at Mount Isa Police Station as they piece together the events that led to his death.

Anyone who has information or has interacted with Aaron since around December 23 last year, is urged to contact investigators.
