Death of 81-year-old man no longer treated as suspicious, NSW

The death of an 81-year-old man who was found seriously injured in Port Macquarie last week is no longer being treated as suspicious, NSW Police say.

Shortly after 11pm on Tuesday 4 October 2016, emergency services were called to William Street, Port Macquarie, and found an 81-year-old man with serious head injuries.

The man died in hospital on Monday 10 October 2016.

Strike Force Merle has been established to investigate the circumstances surrounding his death and it is no longer being treated as suspicious
