Death of an inmate at Nova Institution for Women

On March 4, 2019, Samantha Wallace, an inmate from Nova Institution for Women died while in our custody.

At the time of her death, Ms. Wallace, 28 years old, had been serving her first federal sentence of 2 years, 2 months and 1 day for Extortion – All Others, Criminal Harassment, Possession Weapon for Dangerous Purposes, Public Mischief – False Report and Failure to Comply with Probation Order (x2).

The inmate's next of kin have been notified of her death.
