Death of an inmate at Pacific Institution

On February 3, 2019, David Wayne Plummer, an inmate from Pacific Institution died while in our custody of apparent natural causes following an illness.

At the time of his death, Mr. Plummer, 58 years old, had been serving an indeterminate sentence for second degree murder since October 8, 1998.

The inmate's next of kin have been notified of his death.

As in all cases involving the death of an inmate, Correctional Service Canada will review the circumstances and contact the police and the coroner if required.
