On May 17, 2020, Pierre Carriere, an inmate from Bath Institution died while in our custody of apparent natural causes.
At the time of his death, Mr. Carriere had been serving an indeterminate sentence for First Degree Murder since December 19, 1996.
The inmate's next of kin have been notified of his death. The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) extends its condolences to the family.
As in all cases involving the death of an inmate, Correctional Service Canada (CSC) will review the circumstances. CSC policy requires that the police and the coroner be notified.
