Death of man at Kelso brings manslaughter charge, NSW

A man has been charged following the death of a man at Kelso yesterday.

Just before 5pm (Monday 25 February 2019), emergency services were called to a unit block on Bonner Street, Kelso, after reports of an altercation between two men.

On arrival officers located a 64-year-old man unconscious. He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Bathurst Hospital where he later died.

A 35-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Bathurst Police Station where he has now been charged with manslaughter.

He was refused bail and will appear in Bathurst Local Court today (Tuesday 26 February 2019).
