The body of deceased miner Cameron Goss (aged 44) from Queenstown has today been recovered from the Henty Gold Mine.
Mr Goss had been missing presumed deceased since January 23 when the earth collapsed in the section of mine he was working in.
His body was recovered by the mine’s Emergency Response Team with the assistance of other mining experts from the West Coast and ERT teams from across the country.
Our thoughts remain with Mr Goss’ family, friends and colleagues. The incident will be investigated and a report prepared for the Coroner.
