It's extremely disappointing for the community and Council alike that the property at 32 Service Street, Hampton has been demolished.
Unfortunately, as Council did not have the authority to refuse demolition we were unable to avert this action.
We are working to implement the Bayside Heritage Action Plan to guide the identification, protection, management and promotion of Bayside's heritage buildings for the next fifteen years. This will assist us to better protect significant buildings and places that contribute to our municipality's prized neighbourhood character.
