Transit Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating after a man performed a lewd act on board a train in Melbourne's CBD last month.
It is understood a man directed sexual activity towards a woman on the City Loop train between Melbourne Central and Flinders Street railway stations about 8.20am on 12 April.
The 19-year-old female victim was not physically harmed.
The man is described as being Caucasian, approximately 30-40 years old, with a large build, brown short hair and facial hair. He was wearing a dark blue jacket, dark coloured pants and was wheeling a small suitcase.
Investigators have released images of a man they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.
