Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man after he was found unresponsive in Pascoe Vale last night.
Officers attended a residential property on Heathcote Street and located a 63-year-old male unconscious about 7.45pm.
The yet-to-be-formally identified man was treated at the scene but died shortly after.
Another man, a 34-year-old from Pascoe Vale, was arrested nearby and remains in custody.
A postmortem will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
A crime scene has been established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident remain ongoing.
It is believed the parties are known to each other.
