Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a suspicious house fire in Bundoora this morning.
Emergency services were called to the May Street boarding house just after 3am following reports of a fire.
Five people inside the home at the time managed to get out of the double story house.
Three people have been taken to hospital for treatment.
Whittlesea Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating and following up a report that a man was seen running away in vicinity of the property prior to the fire.
