Detectives release CCTV of vehicle seen before Toongabbie fatal stabbing

Homicide Squad detectives have released CCTV vision of a vehicle of interest and are appealing for public assistance as they continue to investigate the suspicious death of a man in Sydney's north-west last year.

Just before 10.30pm on Sunday 15 November 2020, emergency services were called to Budgeree Road, Toongabbie, and found a man on the footpath suffering multiple stab wounds.

Despite the efforts of emergency services and members of the public, the man died at the scene.

He has since been formally identified as 49-year-old Warwick Hunter.

Officers from Parramatta Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the incident, before detectives from the Homicide Squad took carriage of the investigation under Strike Force Burranjurra.

As part of ongoing inquiries, detectives have released CCTV vision of a vehicle seen travelling on Wentworth Avenue, Toongabbie, prior to the fatal stabbing.

The vehicle depicted in the CCTV is described as being a red Honda Accord Euro sedan with distinctive black rims on the rear wheels and silver rims on the front wheels.

Police are urging anyone with information about the movements or occupants of the vehicle to come forward.

Officers are also urging anyone with dashcam footage from the Toongabbie area between 8pm and 11pm on Sunday 15 November 2020, to come forward.
