Detectives Seek Info on Paddington Sexual Act

Detective from Surry Hills Police Area Command are seeking public assistance after a sexual incident that occurred in Paddington earlier this year.

Police were told, about 10:50am on Monday 3 February 2026, a woman was walking on Moore Park Road, near Regent Street, Paddington, when an unknown man performed a sexual act towards her.

The man continued to walk in an easterly direction on Moore Park Road.

As inquiries continue, detectives have released images of a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

The man is described as Caucasian appearance, 160cm to 170cm tall, medium build with short hair.

He was last seen wearing a light coloured cap, a patterned t-shirt of various colours, black shorts, light grey shoes and carrying a black bag.

Police are urging anyone with information, including CCTV or dashcam footage, to contact Surry Hills Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
