Dharawal State Park Hazard Reduction Burn

NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service, together with NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS), will be conducting a hazard reduction burn in Dharawal State Conservation Area (SCA) at Wedderburn starting today, Tuesday 12 May.

The 37-hectare burn, at the western of the end of Blackburn Road in the Georges River catchment, aims to improve protection for rural residential properties on Blackburn and Exley roads to the north.

Dharawal SCA will be closed during the burn and for the following days until it is declared safe to open.

Motorists are reminded to drive to conditions and to take care if visibility is reduced by smoke.
