Directly impacted by 2019-20 bushfires and having difficulties managing weeds on your property

Snowy Monaro Regional Council is currently calling for expressions of interest for a bushfire recovery - weed control program.

Council has secured grant funding through Local Land Services to manage priority weed infestations on properties affected by the bushfires, to enable landowners to focus on more pressing recovery activities. On receiving your expression of interest form a member of Council's Biosecurity team will contact you and assess your weed situation. Eligible landowners will have access to a licensed, qualified weed control contractor who will be engaged by Council to assist you in meeting your Biosecurity (weed) control requirements.

Funding is limited so contact Council now. To be eligible for assistance, please visit our website, email us on [email protected] or drop into your local Council office to obtain an expression of interest form.

Applications close on Friday 19 February 2021.

Allocation of funds will be prioritised based on the level of risk posed by weeds on your property, your capacity to manage the weed risk and benefits to the broader community.
