Disqualified second hand dealer arrested, SA

Police, as part of Operation Subtract, have arrested a man following an investigation into second hand dealers, according to SA Police.

Following a joint investigation with Sturt CIB, investigators from the Licensing Enforcement Branch arrested a 61-year-old from Clarence Park on Saturday 20 May and charged him with trading as a second-hand dealer and pawnbroker whilst disqualified.

He was bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Tuesday 18 July.

SAPOL’s Operation Subtract is a targeted response to house breaks, stolen property and illicit drugs in the community. One strategy is to scrutinise second hand dealers and pawn broking business and the disposal of stolen property.
