Disruptions to CityCat and ferry services due to industrial action

Brisbane City Council wishes to advise of disruptions to CityCat, CityFerry and CityHopper services between first service Thursday 6 December and last service Friday 7 December.

This is due to industrial action being taken by some Transdev employees, the contracted ferry operator, as enterprise agreement negotiations between the operator and unions have stalled.

Expected service levels are as follows:

  • CityCats will operate at 30 minute frequencies throughout the day;

  • the Bulimba to Teneriffe Cross River ferry will operate as normal; and

  • the CityHopper will operate at reduced frequency.

Commuters should consider other transport arrangements including regular bus services which ordinarily service the vicinity of ferry terminals.

Council apologises for any inconvenience and encourages commuters to allow extra travel time.
