Diversions in place due to Leumeah fire, NSW

Traffic diversions are in place as a fire continues in shops at Leumeah this morning, NSW Police say.

Police and Fire & Rescue NSW were called to a row of shops on Old Leumeah Road shortly before 6am tomorrow, and found a discount store alight.

Five people were evacuated from units above the shops; one woman has been taken to Campbelltown Hospital for the treatment of smoke inhalation.

Fire fighters are still working to extinguish the blaze

Police from Campbelltown Local Area Command advise commuters to access Leumeah Railway Station from the western side.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
