Doctors for Assange today condemned the Morrison governments inaction and double standards in their lack of assistance for Julian Assange who is in jail in the UK.
Ä spokesman for Doctors for Assange Dr Robert Marr,OAM, today stated,
"The Australian foreign minister Marise Payne has shown double standards by meeting her Iranian counterpart in Delhi last week to seek better care and the release of the Australian Ms Gilbert held in an Iranian jail but has done nothing to help the Australian citizen Julian Assange who is being psychologically tortured in a UK jail."
"The Doctors for Assange will be holding a Press Conference today at 1pm at 245 Chalmers st Redfern at which prominent Australian doctors will call for the Morrison government to do more to help Julian Assange receive the medical care he needs because he is currently at risk of dying in jail".said Dr Marr
