Dog Squad Arrests, North Brisbane District

The Moreton District Dog Squad has arrested two teenagers following an incident on Sunday 8 March.

It will be alleged the pair were travelling in a white Ford Falcon bearing stolen licence plates and were involved in a fuel drive off at a service station on the Bruce Highway in Caboolture around 3.15pm.

Police subsequently tracked the vehicle and deployed a tyre deflation device along the Gateway Motorway at Bracken Ridge, before the vehicle was abandoned at the Deagon Deviation and the occupants absconded into nearby bushland.

Police Dog Wolf and his handler commenced a search of the area and located one of the alleged offenders behind a property on Lauren Circuit, Brighton shortly after 12am, Monday 9 March.

The other alleged offender was located by PD Wolf on the same street around 1am.

An 18-year-old Griffin man was charged with ten offences including two counts of stealing, and one count each of driving a motor vehicle without a licence, driving an unregistered vehicle, driving an uninsured vehicle, receiving tainted property, obstruct police, possessing dangerous drugs, possess utensils or pipes that had been used, and possess utensils or pipes for use.

He is due to face Pine Rivers Magistrates Court on 25 March.

An 18-year-old Murrumba Downs man was charged with one count each of stealing, obstruct police and possessing dangerous drugs. He is due to face Pine Rivers Magistrates Court on 24 March.

A 16-year-old Pacific Haven boy was also dealt with under the Youth Justice Act.
