Bayside is currently home to 31,608 registered dogs and Council provides a total of 18 fenced or unfenced off-leash exercise areas across the Bayside LGA that covers 50 km².
Bayside Council exceeds the minimum legislative requirements for public off-leash areas and offers a strong network of dog-friendly spaces relative to both its land area and neighbouring councils.
Pet owners have a responsibility to ensure pets and the people around them are safe and free from nuisance.
This includes following off-leash dog park rules and etiquette. Residents must also register their dogs with the NSW Pet Registry.
