I am pleased to announce that the CFA VFBV Championships 2020 - 2025 Action Plan is out in draft form for consultation.
CFA VFBV Championships are part of the history and tradition of CFA. Annual Competitions, or demonstrations as they have been referred to, commenced 137 years ago and were only interrupted by World Wars.
In recent years the numbers of competing teams have begun to wane as have the supporting attractions and activities that accompany the Championships.
CFA's Business Plan commits to a project to modernise our Championships. In this project there has been strong engagement with VFBV Urban and Rural Competition and Rules Committees and VFBV Executive. This engagement has led to two significant outcomes.
The first is the historic decision to run the Rural Senior and Junior Championships with the Urban Senior Championships concurrently at the Mooroopna Recreation reserve on 28 and 29 March 2020. This event will be a major celebration of CFA and likely attract over 4000 CFA people, competitors and family, as well as having wide appeal to the broader community.
