Drink driver arrested after Munno Para crash, SA

Police have arrested a man for drink driving following a crash at Munno Para last night, according to SA Police.

About 11.30pm on Saturday 7 May police received reports that a red Mazda ute had hit a parked car and then a tree on Douglas Street. The driver was reportedly seen driving on the wrong side of the road just prior to the crash.

Police attended and breath tested the driver who allegedly produced a blood alcohol reading of 0.188, more than three times the legal limit.

Police will also allege that the driver side swiped another passing vehicle and failed to stop after the collision.

A 32-year-old man from Torrensville was charged with drink driving, aggravated due care and failing to stop after an accident. He was issued with a twelve month instant loss of licence and bailed to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on 15 June.
