Drink driver arrested in Truganina

A Tarneit man’s night of drink driving came to an abrupt end when he crashed into a parked car in Truganina yesterday, Victoria Police say.

Westgate Highway Patrol members were called to the minor collision in Lumiere Boulevard about 8.50pm.

On arrival, police found the driver, a 36-year-old Tarneit man, slumped over the wheel of his car.

He was uninjured but returned a breath alcohol reading of 0.314 per cent.

It was soon discovered that he was unlicensed and his car was unregistered.

He was arrested in relation to an outstanding warrant and taken to the Werribee Police Station where he was later charged with failing to appear on summons and other traffic related matters.

The man was bailed to appear at the Werribee Magistrates’ Court on 7 November.
