Drink-driver arrested on Kangaroo Island, SA

Police have arrested a woman after she recorded a high breath test reading on Kangaroo Island, according to SA Police.

At about 4.30pm, police were called to Cape Borda Road at Cape Borda, after reports that a light truck had collided with a tree.

The female driver and sole occupant of the truck underwent a breath test which recorded a reading of 0.279.

The 56-year-old woman from Kangaroo Island was charged with multiple traffic offences including aggravated driving without due care, driving while disqualified and exceeding the prescribed concentration of alcohol.

She was refused bail and will appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
