Police were left shaking their heads after a man blew more than five times the limit in Rockbank early New Years Day.
The Toyota Camry sedan caught the attention of patrolling police after they witnessed it veering from one side of the road the other, braking unnecessarily and at a snail's pace at 12.30am.
Police pulled over the 36-year-old driver, whose offences began to pile up when he was allegedly drinking whilst driving.
The Werribee man was breathalysed, returning an alleged reading of .255.
Officers impounded the man's vehicle at a cost of $1014.98.
His licence was immediately suspended for a period of 12 months, and he can expect to receive a summons for drink driving and other traffic offences.
