Drink driver leaves a mess in Richmond

A 40-year-old Richmond woman has lost her licence after colliding with parked cars in Richmond yesterday afternoon, Victoria Police say.

Southbank police responded to reports of a vehicle driving erratically in the Richmond area around 2pm.

Police arrived at Amsterdam Street and observed the offending vehicle lodged between a garden bed and a parked car, a second parked car was also significantly damaged.

The driver failed a preliminary breath test at the scene and was taken to Richmond Police Station where she returned an evidentiary reading of 0.261%.

She automatically lost her licence for 12 months and will be summons to appear in court for drink driving related charges.
