Drink driving charges at Waterford West, QLD

Police have charged a man after he was allegedly drink driving at more than six times the legal limit at Waterford West yesterday morning. , Queensland Police say

It will be alleged about 10am a man was driving his 4WD on Aegean Street when he has hit a parked car. He has then continued to drive along Hadlow Street before crashing into a tree at the intersection with Short Street.

A member of the public has observed the crashes and removed the keys from the crashed vehicle before telling the man to wait for police.

A 34-year-old Ormeau man has been charged with one count of driving under the influence of liquor (breath alcohol reading of .306%). He is expected to appear at the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on August 18.
