Drink driving crash charge at Colo Vale

A man has been charged with high-range drink driving following a single-vehicle crash in Colo Vale yesterday.

About 6pm on Friday (21 June 2019) a 40-year-old man crashed his Nissan Pulsar when it left the roadway and entered a culvert on Drapers Road, Colo Vale.

Police officers attached to the Southern Traffic Group attended the scene and removed the driver from the vehicle where he was assessed by the NSW Ambulance Service.

Police subjected the male driver to a roadside breath test, which returned a positive reading.

He was arrested and taken to Southern Highlands Police Station, where a subsequent breath analysis allegedly returned a reading of 0.221.

The 50-year-old driver was charged with high-range PCA and released on conditional bail to appear before Moss Vale Local Court on Wednesday 3 July 2019.
