A man has been arrested after crashing his car while trying to evade police at Paradise this afternoon, according to SA Police.
About 4.50pm on Friday 22 December, police attempted to pull over a vehicle on Lower North East Road, Paradise for traffic offences. Instead, the driver took off at speed, turning onto Darley Road and immediately onto Gorge Road, where he lost control and sideswiped an oncoming car.
The driver, a 21-year-old Hope Valley man, was immediately arrested.
Fortunately, there were no serious injuries. The offending driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital. The other motorist was not injured, but taken to hospital as a precaution.
Traffic is being diverted around the crash via Silkes Road.
