Driver arrested after crashing car into house at Modbury, SA

A man has been arrested after crashing his car into a house in Modbury in the early hours of this morning, according to SA Police.

Police will allege that just before 1.50am, police and emergency services were called to a house in Apalie Drive after reports that the driver of a Holden sedan had lost control and crashed into a house, causing extensive damage.

The driver fled the scene, and there were no injuries to any occupants of the house.

Police Dog Ruger helped to search the area, and the suspect was located in Corio Street where he was arrested.

The 19-year-old Golden Grove man was taken to hospital for treatment of minor injuries suffered in the crash.

He will face numerous charges including driving without due care, leaving the scene of an accident, and driving unlicenced.
