A man was caught allegedly drink driving more than five times over the legal limit following a crash in Mulgrave last night.
Police responded after receiving reports a black Toyota hatch crashed into the centre barrier on the Monash Freeway near Jacksons Road about 10.20pm.
The driver and sole occupant was not injured and returned a positive preliminary breath test.
He was taken to a police testing vehicle where he returned an evidentiary breath test reading of .253.
A 21-year-old man from Narre Warren had his licence immediately suspended and he is expected to be charged on summons with drink driving and other traffic matters.
