Driver Charged After Man Pinned in Nowra Incident

A driver will face court today charged with multiple offences after a man was allegedly hit in his own driveway on the South Coast yesterday.

Shortly before 5pm yesterday (Monday 2 February 2026), emergency services were called to reports of a man pinned between two cars in a driveway on McKay Street, Nowra.

NSW Ambulance treated a 45-year-old man for serious leg injuries before he was airlifted to St George Hospital in a critical condition.

Officers attached to South Coast Police District attended and commenced inquiries.

Police were told the man was pinned between two vehicles on his driveway, following a neighbourhood dispute.

Police will allege the driver then punched the injured man before leaving.

A short time later, a 39-year-old man was arrested nearby in Quiberon Street, Nowra

He was taken to Nowra Police Station and charged with use weapon with intent to commit indictable offence, dangerous driving causing grievous bodily harm – drive manner dangerous, fail to stop and assist after vehicle impact causing previous bodily harm, and contravene prohibition/restriction in AVO (Domestic).

He was refused bail to appear in Bail Division Court 3 today (Tuesday 3 February 2026).

The men are known to each other.
