Driver charged with mid-range PCA after multi-vehicle crash, NSW

A man has been charged with mid-range PCA following a multi-vehicle crash in Sydney’s south last night, NSW Police say.

Just before 11.30pm (Friday 7 December 2018), emergency services were called to Sandringham Street, Sans Souci, after a Volkswagen Golf and Toyota Corolla both travelling east, collided.

Following the initial crash, the Volkswagon hit two other vehicles and a power pole.

All the vehicles were significantly damaged and required towing from the scene, and no one was seriously injured.

The driver of the Volkswagon, a 30-year-old man, underwent a roadside breath test which returned a positive result.

He was arrested and taken to St George Police Station where he returned an alleged breath analysis reading of 0.117.

The man was issued a Field Court Attendance Notice for drive with middle range PCA and his licence was suspended.

He is due to appear at Sutherland Local Court on Tuesday 29 January 2019.
