Driver critical after crash - Carss Park

A driver is in a critical condition following a two-vehicle crash in Sydney's south today.

About 6.45am (Thursday 12 August 2021), emergency services were called to the Princes Highway, Carss Park, following reports of a crash.

Officers attached to St George Police Area Command attended and were told a Mitsubishi Lancer sedan and Nissan Navara utility had collided near the intersection of West Street.

The driver of the Mitsubishi, a 43-year-old man, was taken to St George Hospital in a critical condition with head, neck and rib injuries.

The driver of the Nissan, a 29-year-old man, was uninjured. He was taken to St George Hospital for mandatory testing.

A crime scene was established and an investigation commenced into the incident.
