A driver was taken to a hospital with critical injuries after a two-vehicle crash in the state's south today.
About 2.50pm today (Saturday 21 June 2025), emergency services were called to Burley Griffin Way, Barellan, following reports of a two-vehicle crash.
Officers attached to Murrumbidgee Police District and Traffic and Highway Patrol Command attended the scene and located a ute and a truck have collided on the westbound lane of the road.
The driver of ute – a 25-year-old man – was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics with head injuries before being taken to Griffith Base Hospital in a critical condition. He was later taken to Canberra Hospital for further treatment.
The driver of truck – a 62-year-old man – was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to the Griffith Base Hospital for further treatment and a mandatory testing.
A crime scene has been established and police commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident.
